Yes, you are welcome to walk on at our Dingley (Heatherton) centre. If you arrive without a reservation, our team will do their best to place you into an existing group of a similar age and experience level.
However, to ensure you have the best possible experience, we strongly recommend the following:
-
Call Ahead: Please call our event coordinators on 1300 793 702 before heading to the centre. This allows us to confirm that we have sessions running and that there is equipment availability for your preferred time.
-
Guaranteed Entry: Pre-booking is the only way to guarantee your spot on the field, especially on busy weekends when the Dingley centre often reaches capacity.
-
Streamlined Arrival: Booked players get priority during the kitting-up process, meaning you’ll get onto the game zones faster.
Melbourne Pro-Tip: Walking on is great for solo players or pairs, but for groups of 10 or more, a booking is essential to ensure we can keep your squad together.
No. While the group Organiser typically secures the date with an initial booking, we can often arrange for individual players to pay for their own packs. Please speak with our event coordinators at 1300 793 702 to discuss the best way to manage your group’s payments.
Yes. All players are required to complete an online registration form before they arrive at the centre.
-
Under 16s: Players under 16 must have their form signed by a parent or guardian.
-
Group Tip: We recommend sending the registration link to your entire group with your invitations to ensure a fast check-in.
-
Accessing the Link: Please ask your event coordinator for your unique group link when finalizing your booking.
There is no minimum group size to play; we can join small groups together. To secure a private game (exclusive use of the fields for your group), you generally need a minimum of 40 players. Groups of 20 can form their own dedicated team.
At Delta Force Paintball, there is no strict minimum or maximum number of players required to book; we welcome everything from solo players to large corporate groups. However, your group size determines how your session is structured:
-
Small Groups & Individuals: Any group size is fine! If you have a small group, we will simply join you with other players of a similar age and ability to ensure a high-energy, competitive atmosphere.
-
Forming Your Own Team: If you bring 20 or more players, you will have enough recruits to form your own dedicated team to play against other groups on the day.
-
Private Game Requirements: To secure an exclusive Private Game (where your group plays alone on the game zones with your own dedicated marshals), a minimum of 40 prepaid players is required.
-
Centre Opening Minimums: While we accept all group sizes, please note that a minimum total number of players across all bookings is required to open the centre on a specific day. If no other groups are booked in for your requested time, our event coordinators will discuss alternative dates or times with you.
Pro-Tip for Organisers: You can make your booking now for the players you have 100% confirmed. You are welcome to add additional players to your booking up until a few days before your event, subject to availability.
While we occasionally accept last-minute bookings, we highly recommend booking at least 10–14 days in advance, especially for Saturdays and Sundays, which frequently sell out.
Yes. We strongly recommend booking for your minimum confirmed players today. Our Melbourne (Dingley) centre is a premier destination and often reaches capacity weeks in advance, especially for weekend sessions.
-
Lock in Your Date: Secure your spot on the field with your “core group” now to ensure your preferred date is protected.
-
Grow Your Group: You can add additional players to your Melbourne booking up until a few days before your event. Simply call our local event coordinators, and as long as equipment is available, we will increase your troop size.
-
Organiser Flexibility: Booking for your definites now means you don’t have to wait for every person to pay you before securing the session for the rest of the group.
Melbourne Pro-Tip: It is much easier to add a few players to an existing booking than to find a new date for a large group because the centre is full. Secure the “definites” first!
In Victoria, the legal minimum age to play traditional paintball is 16 years old. However, at Delta Force Paintball Melbourne (Dingley), we offer a specialized alternative for younger players:
-
Traditional Paintball (Ages 16+): Players aged 16 and 17 must have a parental consent form signed before participating.
-
MiniBall (Ages 8–15): Our Dingley centre is a premier provider of MiniBall, a specially developed version of paintball for kids. It uses smaller, lighter equipment and “low-impact” spring-powered markers, making it perfectly safe and legal for children aged 8 to 15.
Melbourne Parent Tip: MiniBall is the #1 choice for primary and early high school birthday parties in Melbourne. It provides all the excitement of the game zones with equipment tailored for younger frames.
At Delta Force Paintball Melbourne (Dingley), we prioritize a balanced and fair experience for all our players.
-
Age-Matched Groups: Whenever possible, we join groups with other players of a similar age and experience level. This ensures that a group of 10-year-old MiniBallers isn’t on the field against a corporate team.
-
Family Flexibility: You may occasionally see mixed-age groups on the field. This usually occurs when parents or older siblings choose to play alongside younger family members—a popular choice for family birthday celebrations.
-
Strict Supervision: Regardless of who is on the field, every game is strictly supervised by our professional marshals who enforce safety rules and ensure a fun, inclusive environment for everyone.
Melbourne Organiser Tip: If you are booking a MiniBall session (Ages 8–15), the games are exclusively for young players and their accompanying adults. This keeps the energy high and the impact low!
